Porcelain Bauhaus Bowl Set
A set of 3 bowl-shaped artworks. These bowls are part of Tamara Efrat's Bauhaus set. It can be used as a decorating bowl to serve or store items such as fruits, jewelry, or even nuts. The project is inspired by the women of the Bauhaus institution. At the time, women practiced crafts (not arts or architecture).
The set is a translation of weaved carpets crafted in Tel-Aviv in the 1930s into surface topography. The woven textiles were transformed into three-dimensional objects using a digital mapping tool and a 3D printer. Tamara reconstructed the techniques and methods used to create textiles and created beautiful porcelain objects.
